Overall view of the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit on Mission and 7th Street in San Francisco California. Built in 1905 it was both a post office and the federal building in San Francisco it survived the 1906 earthquake and was designated to National Register of Historic Places in 1971. Named in honor of Judge James R. Browning in 2005 and it was declared a National Historic Landmark on October 17, 2012
